Bank connections
Connect Fio or MONETA read-only feeds, and what we researched for other Czech banks.
Invoicey reconciles invoices through a payment ledger. Bank feeds are optional adapters on top of that ledger — the same place manual payments land.
Live bank adapters today: Fio banka and MONETA Money Bank. Everything else stays on manual payments until a bank offers a setup as simple and free as these account-holder tokens.
Why Fio and MONETA
Both expose a free, workspace-pasteable read token without requiring Invoicey to hold a ČNB AISP licence:
| Need | Fio | MONETA |
|---|---|---|
| Read movements / statements | Yes | Yes (VIP AISP) |
| Cost | Free | Free (passive ops) |
| Credentials | Monitoring token from Internetbanking | API token from Internet Banka |
| Licence for Invoicey | None — the account holder issues the token | None — same model |
| Workspace configuration | One encrypted token per connection | One encrypted token per connection; pick CZK account if several |
| Extra ops note | ~30s per-token throttle | Token ≤90 days; history ≤90 days — renew in IB |
Setup: Reconcile payments.
What we looked at (and deferred)
We reviewed common Czech banks and fintechs for a workspace-configurable history API — ideally free, without Invoicey needing a ČNB open-banking (AISP) licence.
Two access models keep showing up:
| Model | Who creates access | Invoicey needs AISP? | Fit for Invoicey |
|---|---|---|---|
| Account-holder / “Premium” API | You create a token or certificate in your IB | No | Possible if simple |
| PSD2 open banking (AISP) | You consent to a licensed third party | Yes | Not planned |
Comparison
| Bank / provider | Live history API for account holders? | Typical cost | Setup pain | Invoicey status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fio | Yes | Free | Paste monitoring token | Supported |
| MONETA | Yes | Free | Paste API token (+ account) | Supported |
| ČSOB Business Connector | Yes (business CEB) | Free | Client certificate / mTLS | Deferred |
| CREDITAS | Unclear after 2025 PSD2 move | Historically free | Re-check before any work | Deferred |
| Komerční banka (ADAA/STATDA) | Yes | Free ≤50 uses/mo; then 100–500 Kč/mo | App registration + OAuth | Deferred |
| Raiffeisenbank Premium API | Yes | ~500 Kč/mo + possible yearly fees | Certificate + yearly unblock | Deferred |
| Česká spořitelna Premium API | Yes | ~300 Kč / account / mo | Bank onboarding | Deferred |
| Revolut Business | Yes (Grow+ plans) | Grow ~850–1 000 Kč/mo | Certificate + OAuth | Deferred |
| Partners Banka | PSD2 only | TPP path | Needs licensed AISP | Not planned |
| mBank CZ | PSD2 only | TPP path | Needs licensed AISP | Not planned |
| Air Bank | PSD2 only | TPP path (CSV/email workarounds) | Needs licensed AISP | Not planned |
Deferred means the ledger can grow another adapter later; we are not building those integrations now. Paid plans, certificates, OAuth app registration, and AISP licensing are a poor fit next to Fio/MONETA pasteable tokens.
If you bank elsewhere
Use Mark paid on the invoice or Add a manual payment on Payments. Those write the same ledger as bank matches, so dashboards and outstanding balances stay consistent.
A future statement import (CSV / CAMT / etc.) may cover other accounts without pretending those banks have a Fio-class API.
